My Bio

I started my business June 1, 1992. Originally from Salt Lake City and a graduate of a Westminster College in Marketing, my career path was going to be hotel management. However, while owning a couple of rental properties by the University of Utah and Sales Manager for the Inn At Temple Square, I pursued my real estate license to know how to be a better Landlord. After receiving my license, I got a letter from ERA Brokers, Coldwell Banker, and Century 21 in St. George inviting me to come down and talk with them about selling real estate in southern Utah. Four weeks later I moved into a college apartment that was available during summer break with my border collie Jenny. I did not know ANYONE IN St. George and was housed under a group of college boys who loved to party form 10 pm - 1 or so in the morning. Could I sleep? No way!! So....Jenny dog and I traveled around St. George in the middle of the night learning the street names, the subdivision, the market values, the areas where potential growth would be, FSBO'S, ect. About 1 am , I'd return home and go to by. By 7 am I was in the office and ready to work. This is how I got to learn about southern Utah! I had a terrific Broker, Thanyne Hudson. I credit a lot of my success to Thayne. He is one of my heroes and idols. I appreciate his training, kindness, and support. The saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" I guess was true because in October 1992, I married Becky Duncan and brought her to St. George to begin our life together. In 2000, Becky and I adopted 2 children T'ere, age 10 and Christopher, age 9 became our son and daughter. Now they are all grown up and Becky and I became grandparents in November 2013. We have a great support system within our family and love them dearly. rd
